Meaning
Summary :         This hymn is dedicated to Lord Ayyappa of Sabarimala, celebrating him not just as a protector, but as the ultimate teacher of non-duality (Advaita philosophy).

(Pallavi & Anupallavi): The poet addresses Lord Ayyappa (Ayyan) as the beautiful essence of the nectar of non-duality (Advaita-amrutha-saara). He is the jewel who adorns the lofty, high mountain peaks (Uthungadhri—referring to Sabarimala). He is described as pure existence (Satha maathran), a treasure of incomparable virtues, and the compassionate Lord who grants absolute refuge to his devotees.
(Charanam 1): The devotee prays for the Lord's mercy to reach the feet of the Supreme Consciousness (Chilpurushan). The song describes how a seeker must approach him: with a pure mind, steady focus (Shraddha), vibrant devotion, deep enthusiasm, and hands folded in absolute surrender (Baddhaanjali).
Charanam 2): This verse highlights the iconic physical form of Ayyappa. He holds his hand in the sacred Chin Mudra (the gesture of consciousness and wisdom) and possesses a radiantly glowing, beautiful face. The devotee begs the Lord to permanently destroy all their inner sorrows (atthal) and praises him as the very embodiment of the grand Upanishadic truth: Tat Tvam Asi ("Thou Art That").
(Charanam 3): The song concludes by reinforcing that the Lord who dwells eternally on the grand mountain peaks is the sole anchor and protector for all who seek him.

Line-by-line meaning of the song will be added in due course.
