Meaning
Summary :       This song is a  prayer addressing Lord Shiva with various traditional titles, expressing absolute surrender and seeking his divine protection.

Pallavi & Anupallavi:  The devotee bows down at the twin holy feet of Shiva, addressing him as Anangare (the enemy of Kamadeva/the destroyer of lust) and Umakanta (the beloved consort of Goddess Uma/Parvati). He is described as flawless, matchless, and the embodiment of an immeasurable, ultimate soul. The hymn visualizes Lord Shiva seated on Mount Kailash alongside Parvati, who radiates a crimson dawn-like glow (Arunabha). He is praised as the source of pure consciousness (Chinmayane) and the bringer of auspiciousness (Shubhamkara). The devotee prays to the Supreme Being to help destroy all worldly miseries by allowing them to worship his lotus feet.

Charanam 1 & 2: The devotee chants the holy Shiva Panchakshara Mantra ("Namah Shivaya") daily, seeking absolute refuge in the pure form of Shiva. The Lord's divine physical form is described as beautiful enough to outshine the brilliant radiance of the sun (Kathirava), and the devotee bows instantly with folded hands.

The prayer asks Shithikantha (the blue-throated Lord) to guide the devotee along the righteous spiritual path (Shiva Margge) and shower boundless blessings without delay. The stanza beautifully culminates by addressing him as Purari, the fierce destroyer of the three demon cities (Tripura),who dwells in absolute majesty with flowing crimson matted hair (Chenchida).

Charanam 3: The final verse reinforces the timeless nature of God. Shiva is praised as Anadhi Madhyantha Roopa—the One who has no beginning, no middle, and no end—signifying that he transcends time itself. He is eternal (Anashwara), infinitely good, and smaller than the smallest atom (Anuthama). The hymn culminates in an ecstatic chant of his ultimate names: Mahadeva (The Great God) and Maheshwara (The Supreme Lord).
