Meaning
Summary :      This deeply moving Malayalam devotional hymn is a humble prayer addressed to Lord Shiva, seeking his boundless grace, inner peace, and spiritual liberation through unconditional devotion. The devotee glorifies Shiva's supreme cosmic power—which transcends the cycles of creation and preservation—while meditating on his majestic attributes as the slayer of lust and ignorance and the divine consort of Goddess Parvati. The song expresses a deep longing to spend one's entire lifetime singing Shiva's praises so that worldly worries vanish, replaced by the vision of the sacred Shivalinga residing in the lotus of the devotee's heart.

Pallavi: O Lord Shiva, adorned with the crescent moon on your matted hair and the slayer of the demon Sankhachuda, I bow my hands before you so that your divine grace may rest upon me.

Charanam 1: I forever offer my humble salutations to your all-pervading Shivalinga, which represents the ultimate cosmic reality and is revered even by the powers of creation, preservation, and the Supreme Divine Energy (Para Shakti).

Charanam 2: I bow to you, Lord Shiva, who bears the sacred Ganga, who is free from all material desires, who is adorned with snakes, the vanquisher of Kamadeva, the holy Vamadeva, the supreme Lord, and the beloved consort of Goddess Parvati.

Charanam 3: May I be inspired to continuously sing your praises until the very end of my life, and as I visualize your divine Linga form seated at the core of my heart within a blossoming lotus, may all my mundane thoughts dissolve completely into supreme peace.
