Meaning
Summary :    This devotional hymn is an earnest adoration and prayer of surrender dedicated to Lord Ganesha (invoked as Gajanana, Heramba, and Gananayaka), venerated as the elephant-faced, moon-hued son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Girija. The song explicitly celebrates the deity presiding at the sacred Keezhcherimel shrine (referencing the historic Keezhcherimel / Keezhcheri Mahadeva & Ganapathi temple tradition in Kerala). Praising Him as the single-tusked vanquisher of obstacles and the dispeller of inner grief, the hymn extols His boundless compassion as an ocean of refuge for all beings. The devotee pleads for the Lord to eliminate inner darkness, illuminate the intellect with auspicious thoughts, and grant eternal spiritual liberation.

Shlokam : To the divine Lord dear to Mahadeva, the exalted son of Bhavani, I perpetually bow and meditate within my heart upon the sacred lotus feet of Gajanana.

Pallavi : The beloved son of Chandrashekhara (Lord Shiva), radiant with the flawless pure glow of the autumn moon, endowed with the face of a noble tusker, ever beauteous, the sovereign master and leader of the Ganas!

Anupallavi : You are the true kin unto all beings, a boundless ocean of refuge, O Heramba! Banishing the darkness of ignorance, pray imbue my heart and mind with noble and luminous thoughts!

Charanam-1 : My supreme Lord who resides gracefully at the renowned Keezhcherimel temple, the benevolent protector who grants unfailing aid, the cherished son born unto Goddess Girija (Parvati)!

Charanam-2 : He who dispels every trace of grief and mental affliction, the supreme son of the daughter of the snowy mountain (Himavanth), radiating brightly within the lotus of my heart, my charming and tender transcendental Lord!

Charanam-3 : The auspicious son who wards off and breaks through all impediments and obstacles with His singular sharp tusk, a perennial wellspring of mercy, the eternal conscious spirit who bestows eternal liberation (mukti)!
