Summary : This verse is a devotional praise of Lord Shiva, describing His iconic form: His matted locks bearing the sacred River Ganga. The spotted deer and battle-axe that He holds. The serpent adorning His body. The crescent moon shining upon His head. His divine aspect as Gangadhara (Bearer of Ganga) and Girisha (Lord of the Mountains).
