Meaning
Summary :     This devotional song is dedicated to Lord Ganesha (addressed as Vighneshwara, Vinayaka, and Gajaanana), honoring Him as the remover of obstacles, the dispeller of all grief, and the granter of higher intellect and wisdom. The verses invoke His supreme lineage as the divine child of Lord Shiva (Shambhu) and Goddess Parvati (Uma), asking for His continuous divine grace and protection. The composition explicitly mentions the renowned Pazhavangadi Ganapathy Temple located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, offering reverent salutations directly to the presiding deity of that sacred shrine. Written as a straightforward prayer of surrender, it beautifully expresses the seeker's devotion to the ocean of knowledge and supreme harbinger of victory.

Shlokam: I bow before the lotus feet of Lord Vighneshwara (Ganesha), the elephant-faced Lord who is served by the attendant spirits (Bhoota Ganas), who relishes the essence of wood apple (Kapittha) and rose apple (Jambu) fruits, who is the beloved son of Uma (Parvati), and the destroyer of all sorrow and affliction.

Pallavi: Glory, glory to the beloved son of Parvati; glory, glory to the victorious Vinayaka, the Lord of auspicious beginnings.

Anupallavi: Glory to the remover of all obstacles (Vighna Vinashaka) and the revered son of Lord Shiva (Shambhu Soonu); please protect and bless us, O elephant-faced Lord and leader of the celestial hosts (Gana Natha).

Charanam 1: O ocean of learning, knowledge, and wisdom (Vidya Varidhi), and bestower of intellect (Buddhi Vidhata), salutations unto You, Lord Sri Maha Ganapathy of Pazhavangadi.
