Summary : This devotional prayer is dedicated to Goddess Bhadrakaali, residing in the Kamapuram temple, set to Ragam Madhyamavati and Thalam Adi. The singer humbly surrenders at the feet of the divine mother, seeking protection from extreme mental distress, anxiety, and the adverse effects of bad times (Kaladosha). The hymn glorifies her as the embodiment of Kaali, the compassionate daughter of Lord Shiva, and offers repeated obeisance to her divine grace.
Pallavi: Mother of the sacred grove (Kavilamma), the embodiment of Goddess Kaali, please protect us. Salutations again and again to Goddess Bhadrakaali residing in Kaamapuram.
Anupallavi: My mind is severely distressed and tossing about with intense worries due to heavy burdens/reasons. O compassionate one, daughter of the Lord of Kashi (Lord Shiva), please look upon me with mercy.
Charanam 1: O merciful Goddess who completely removes the terrors and afflictions caused by ill-fated times (Kaladosha), I promptly bow down and pay homage at your divine feet.
