Meaning
Summary :      This is a traditional Keshadi Pada (head-to-toe) devotional hymn dedicated to Bhadrakali, the presiding goddess of the Arayankavu Bhagavathi Temple in Kerala.

Shlokam: The song begins by invoking Goddess Bhadrakali as the beloved of Lord Shiva (Kailaasanaatha Priye). She is praised as the cause of creation, preservation, and dissolution (Srishti Sthithilaya Kaarini), the destroyer of evil, and the granter of all wishes. The poet bows deeply to the feet of the Mother who reigns over the golden shrine of Arayankavu.

Pallavi: The Golden Crown - The devotee begins the physical praise from the very top, bowing reverently to the Mother's majestic crown (Makutam) that radiates an intense, golden brilliance.

Anupallavi: The Dark Tresses - The singer bows to Her dense, beautiful tresses (Kaarkoonthal) that flow beautifully and look as deep and dark as rain-bearing clouds (Kaarmegha).

Charanam 1: The Brow and Tilakam - Bows to the sacred vermilion mark (Thilakam) adorned on Her holy forehead, and to Her elegant eyebrows that curve flawlessly with the natural beauty of a rainbow.

Charanam 2: The Eyes and Nose - Adorations to Her two wide, fiery eyes (Mizhi randu) that blaze with spiritual light and power, and to Her beautifully structured nose (Naasike) that resembles a graceful sesame flower (Thilasoona).

Charanam 3: The Smile and Lips
Bows to Her pristine teeth (Danthangal) which are white and perfectly shaped like delicate jasmine buds (Mallika Mottu), and to Her beautiful crimson lips that look like ripe ivy gourd fruits (Chenthoondi Pazham).

Charanam 4: The Four Arms - The poet bows to Her four mighty arms (Karam naalu) that hold Her iconic weapons—the sword (Khataka), shield (Kheda), skull-cup (Kapaala), and trident (Shoolam)—while carrying the severed head of the demon king Darika.

Charanam 5: The Neck and Torso - Bows to Her sacred neck (Thiru Galam) decorated with a garland of skulls (Kapaala Haaram), and to Her majestic, divine chest adorned with fine jewellery.

Charanam 6: The Waist and Thighs - The humble servant (Adiyan) bows to Her slender waist, abdomen, hips, and Her gentle, powerful thighs.

Charanam 7: The Sacred Anklets - Bows to Her divine pair of feet (Pada Dwayam) adorned with tinkling golden anklets (Kanaka Chilambu). The poet praises the Mother of Arayankavu who rides upon the mythical ghoul Vetala to rule over and protect the world.

Charanam 8: Head-to-Toe Surrender - Having detailed every part, the devotee bows to Her entire physical form from head to toe (Mudi thottu adiyolam), surrendering completely to the golden Mother of Arayankavu.

Charanam 9: Final Glorification - The hymn ends with a joyful declaration of praise, singing glories to the golden Mother, the supreme illusionist (Mahaa Maye), who sits eternally on Her throne at Arayankavu.
