Summary : This classical devotional hymn is a sacred keshadipada contemplation dedicated to Lord Krishna, visualizing His transcendental divine form systematically from His crown down to His lotus feet. Opening with the canonical Srimad Bhagavatam verse depicting the magnificent four-armed manifestation witnessed by Vasudeva at His birth in Mathura, the hymn adores the Lord's compassionate eyes, gentle smile, dark raincloud hue, and sacred emblems including the conch, mace, and lotus. The verses vividly portray Krishna's adorned chest, yellow pitambara silk, resplendent ornaments, and anklet-bearing feet that are perpetually worshipped by Indra and the heavenly gods. It serves as an earnest personal prayer yearning for a complete auspicious vision of the Lord's bewitching form.
Shlokam : Vasudeva beheld that wondrous infant born with eyes like blossoming lotuses, bearing four arms adorned with the conch, mace, and weapons, marked on the chest with the auspicious Srivatsa sign, wearing the resplendent Kaustubha gem around His neck, draped in yellow silks, possessing the deep dark beauty of a heavy raincloud, His dense locks radiating light merged with radiant crowns, emeralds, necklaces, and ear ornaments, and shining magnificently with exquisite waistbands, armlets, and bangles.
Pallavi : May I be blessed to behold Your dazzling golden crown, the nectarine ocean of compassion in Your twin lotus eyes, the divine splendor of Your ear pendants and curling tresses, Your delicate nostrils, and the enchanting radiance of Your gentle smile, O Krishna!
Charanam-1 : May I behold the sacred garland of fresh Tulsi leaves glistening around Your neck, the charming symmetry of Your holy form dark as a rain-bearing cloud, and Your sacred hands majestically bearing the divine conch, mace, and lotus flower, O Krishna!
Charanam-2 : May I behold Your sacred chest graced by the divine Srivatsa mark, the blazing Kaustubha gem, the flowing forest garland (Vanamala), the lustrous yellow silk garments, and the golden waistbands studded with unfading, pristine gemstones, O Krishna!
Charanam-3 : May I behold Your smooth thighs charming like tender plantain stems, Your gracefully formed calves, the jingling gem-inlaid anklets adorning Your feet, and Your sacred lotus feet revered and bowed to by Indra (Jambharati) and the celestial hosts, O Krishna!
