Meaning
Summary :       The song is dedicated to Chittoorappan at the historic Chittoor Sree Krishnaswamy Temple. The line "Bhajaamahe chithpurivaasa roopam" explicitly means "We worship the Lord who resides in Chittoor."  It celebrates His divine pastimes, highlighting how He relieved Draupadi’s deep agony and satisfied Sage Durvasa with just a single grain of food. The lyrics also recall the enchanting cosmic bliss of His Rasa Leela with the Gopis and honor Him as the mighty lifter of the Govardhana hill. Ultimately, the song acknowledges the Lord of Chitpuri as the one eternal cosmic truth, offering a heartfelt plea for Him to dispel all worldly illusions from the devotee's life.

Shlokam: We worship the Lord who resides in Chitpuri (the city of consciousness/divine abode). He is the delight of the Gopis, the soulmate and friend of the cowherd boys, the supreme form of Govinda, and the very embodiment of the Divine.

Pallavi: I bow to you, Oh Muraari, whose body has the beautiful color of rain-bearing dark clouds, and whose eyes are filled with deep compassion.

Anupallavi: Glory to You, the one who grants all desired boons and the father of Kamadeva (the god of love). Oh Kanna, please protect me always.

Charanam 1: Oh Supreme Lord, worshipped by Shiva (the destroyer of Tripura) and Brahma (the creator)! You are the sole refuge of your creating/devoted bhakta. Oh Muraari who resides in Chitpuri, you are the wish-fulfilling tree (Kalpataru) for your true devotees.

Charanam 2: Oh Shouri (Krishna)! Craving and accepting just a single grain of food (from Draupadi’s vessel), you became fully satisfied and satisfied the hunger of Sage Durvasa and his disciples. By doing so, you completely removed the deep distress and agony of the noble, virtuous Draupadi (Paarshathi).

Charanam 3: Your Rasa Leela (divine dance) with the Gopis is a sight of supreme bliss for the entire world. Oh beloved of the Gopis, the lifter of the Govardhana hill, Lord of the universe, Keshava, Muraari—I bow to you.

Charanam 4: Oh eternal Lord with a lotus rising from your navel (Neeraja-nabha)! You are the embodiment of Truth, Auspiciousness, Beauty, and Bliss (Satyam-Shivam-Sundaram). You are the only ultimate Truth in this universe, Oh Lord of the world. Please remove the worldly illusions (Maya/Mithya) from my life, Oh Lord residing in Chitpuri.
