Meaning
Summary :       This devotional song is a soulful plea born out of intense longing (Bhakti) for Lord Guruvayoorappan (Krishna). The devotee expresses a deep yearning to transcend the illusions of the material world, heal their aching mind, and experience the divine presence. By surrendering their sorrows and complaints, the seeker ultimately begs the Lord to appear with His divine flute, guide them toward spiritual awakening, and grant them eternal peace.

Shlokam: Transforming the strings of my heart into a flute with grace, pouring out a captivating and sweet nectar of music, the dark-complexioned Lord who resides in my consciousness—today, see Him coming close to me and dancing. Oh Krishna!

Pallavi: Oh Kanna (Krishna), I am waiting to hear the tinkling sound of the anklets on your feet.

Anupallavi: I am waiting to behold the form of Hari, which destroys all spiritual thirst and suffering, and to hold that form close to my heart.

Charanam 1: To pour soothing water onto my mind, which is burning and smoking with pain, I search the path of your arrival with tear-filled eyes.

Charanam 2: Oh Madhava, won't you come to light the lamp that guides me to self-realization within my consciousness, which is currently veiled and hidden by worldly illusion (Maya)?

Charanam 3: Oh Lord, who resides in Guruvayoor (Vaatha geham - house of the Wind God) and who is an ocean of mercy! You are the one who cured the ailments (like rheumatism/Vaatha) and fulfilled the desires of your devotees.

Charanam 4: Just to see you for a single moment, to sit a little close to you, to tell you all my complaints, or else, to just rest completely letting go of everything.

Charanam 5: Oh Guruvayoorappa, when will you appear before me with compassion, filled with the deep, soulful music that pours from your golden flute?
