Meaning
Summary :   This song is a devotional prayer dedicated to Lord Narasimha Moorthy, the fierce yet merciful half-man, half-lion avatar of Lord Vishnu who destroys suffering. It praises his beautiful divine form holding the conch and discus, and celebrates his mythological feat of killing the demon Hiranyakashipu to save his child-devotee, Prahlada. The lyrics explicitly target Ramamangalam ("Ramamangala Naadha"), identifying the deity of the historic Ramamangalam Perumthrikkovil Temple in Ernakulam, Kerala. Though the song highlights his terrifying claws, the actual deity enshrined in this specific temple is uniquely revered in a calm, youthful form (Bala Narasimham).

Pallavi : O Lord Narasimha Moorthy, who resides in the highly renowned and sacred great temple (Perunthrikkovil), you are the destroyer of all miseries and deep sorrows (Aarthinaashana). Please protect me (Paahimaam).

Anupallavi : In this earthly realm (Paarthalam), pure-hearted and devoted people constantly remember and believe every day that you are the ultimate giver of true wealth, blessings, and meaning to life (Arthadaayakan).

Charanam 1 : To protect your child-devotee Prahlada without a moment's delay, you manifested at the precise hour of twilight (Thrisandhya). With your fierce, terrifying claws (Ghoramaam nakhangalaal), you ripped open the chest of the cruel demon Hiranyakashipu. O Ocean of Mercy (Kaarunya vaaraannidhe), you thereby relieved the earth of its heavy burden of evil.

Charanam 2 : I bow down to your divine form, adorned with a majestic, towering crown (Thungamaam kireedavum), beautiful necklaces, and earrings. You wear splendid armlets and bracelets. In your hands, you hold the auspiciously sounding conch (Shankh), the mace (Gada), the discus (Chakra), and the lotus flower (Pankajam).

Charanam 3 : O Lord, who delights in granting the wishes of your devotees, you possess a form as beautiful as Kamadeva. You are the beloved of Goddess Earth (Bhumi) and Goddess Lakshmi (Rama), marked with the divine Sreevatsa sign on your chest. O Lord of Ramamangalam (Ramamangala naadhaa), please cure my ailments/suffering (Aamayam) and joyfully aid me so that I may always sing your holy name.
