Meaning
Summary :      This devotional hymn is an earnest adoration and prayer of surrender dedicated to Lord Sri Rama (depicted in His Pattabhisheka / coronation court alongside Mother Sita). Seated upon a radiant navaratna gem-studded throne under the royal white umbrella and whisks, the Lord of the Raghu dynasty is visualised surrounded by His brothers, Sage Vashistha, Hanuman, Sugriva, Angada, and Jambavan. The song venerates Rama as the savior of the earth who severed the fierce heads of the ten-necked Ravana, freeing creation from mortal dread. Chanting the sacred Taraka Mahamantra (Hare Rama Hare Krishna), the devotee bows before the Lord's holy feet to eradicate all the afflictions and spiritual evils of the Kali Yuga.

Shlokam : With Mother Sita (the daughter of the Earth) gracing His left, Lord Hanuman standing in front, Lakshmana (the son of Sumitra) standing behind, and Bharata and Shatrughna flanking both sides; with Sugriva, Vibhishana, Angada (son of Tara), and Jambavan attending in all directions; in the center, I worship and meditate upon the dark-hued Lord Rama, who possesses the tender radiance of a blooming blue lotus; O Lord Sri Ramachandra, protect me! (Followed by the chanting of the sacred Hare Rama Hare Krishna Mahamantra).

Charanam-1 : I bow down and revere the majestic throne sparkling with nine precious celestial gems (navaratna); I bow before the royal white umbrella and the waving fly-whisks (chamaram); I worship Lord Rama, the glorious crest-jewel of the Raghu dynasty; and I bow before Mother Janaki, who shines resplendently upon Your left side.

Charanam-2 : I bow before Your noble brothers who sit lovingly by both Your sides; I bow before the venerable preceptors headed by Sage Vashistha; I bow before Lord Hanuman, the beloved son of Mother Anjana; and I bow before the valiant Vanara heroes, King Sugriva and Prince Angada.

Charanam-3 : O protector and guardian child of Mother Earth, Lord Rama, who severed the ten menacing heads of Dashagreeva (Ravana) that loomed close and banished all inner dread from the world; at Your sacred lotus feet, O Rama, chanting the supreme Mahamantra, offering sacred worship (archana), and prostrating low, we bow down in humble adoration.

Charanam-4 : I bow before the Supreme Lord who shields and preserves His faithful devotees; with pure devotion every single day, I praise and worship You; to dispel and cast away all the sins, impurities, and distresses of the Kali Yuga, I bow before You, continuously chanting this sacred Kali Yuga Mahamantra with folded hands.
