Summary : This devotional hymn is a complete head-to-toe (keshadipada) contemplation dedicated to Lord Ganesha (Sri Maha Ganapathi) presiding over the sacred Parappilly Parambu shrine located at Panangad in Kochi, Kerala. The verses systematically visualize the Lord's form, extolling His gem-studded crown, sandalwood tilak, playful yet compassionate eyes, leftward curling trunk, single sharp tusk, and lotus-leaf ears. It highlights His four hands bearing the abhaya gesture, modaka, noose, and goad, along with His holy chest strung with pearl and gold necklaces, His potbelly that humbled Kubera, and the chiming bells at His waist. The composition concludes as an earnest act of total prostration and physical surrender at the lotus feet of the Ganapathi of Panangad for the removal of all obstacles and ignorance.
Pallavi : I bow before the sacred divine form of Lord Ganapathi, who gracefully abides at Parappilly Parambu in Panangad.
Charanam-1 : To drive away all the dark ignorance that creates obstacles, I bow perpetually before Your divine posture gently leaning toward the left.
Charanam-2 : I bow repeatedly before Your resplendent divine head and forehead, gleaming brilliantly beneath the gem-inlaid crown.
Charanam-3 : I bow deeply before the radiant beauty of the sacred sandalwood (kalabham) tilak adorning the exact center of Your forehead, O Lord Ganapathi!
Charanam-4 : Folding my hands in reverence, I bow before Your mischievous twin eyes, which, despite holding a subtle playful gleam, remain a vast ocean of milky compassion.
Charanam-5 : I bow before the sweet charm of Your tender trunk, extending straight and curling gracefully toward the left.
Charanam-6 : Folding my hands in adoration, I perpetually bow before Your short, single white tusk that curves sharply to the right.
Charanam-7 : I bow before Your twin ears that gently flap and sway at ease, resembling soft, unfolding tender lotus leaves.
Charanam-8 : I bow before Your right hand held in the gesture of granting fearlessness (abhayamudra), and I bow before Your left hand gracing the sacred garment.
Charanam-9 : I bow before the hands holding the sweet modaka, the sacred noose (pasha), and the elephant goad (ankusha), and I bow before the holy neck of the four-armed Lord.
Charanam-10 : I bow before Your sacred chest, richly adorned with layered garlands of gold, coral, and gleaming pearls.
Charanam-11 : I bow before Your cool, prominent potbelly that shattered the pride of Kubera, and I bow before the sacred holy thread (poonool) draped across it.
Charanam-12 : I bow before the waist bells that tinkle with a soft chiming sound, and I bow before Your divine waist wrapped in delicate, soft silk garments.
Charanam-13 : I fall low and prostrate before the sacred lotus feet of Lord Ganesha, who is adored and worshipped equally across all the worlds.
Samarppanam : I bow before the supreme deity who resides peacefully in Panangad; I fold my hands and surrender before Lord Sri Maha Ganapathi.
