Summary : This Sopana Sangeetham devotional composition is dedicated to Goddess Parvati (worshipped in manifestations including Shankari, Ambika, Rajarajeshwari, and Katyayani) in association with the sacred temple abode of Ramabhadralayam. The hymn extols the Goddess as the supreme cosmic power revered even by Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva, and accompanied in celestial attendance by Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswati. The devotee offers a heartfelt surrender at her lotus feet, praying for the destruction of accumulated karmic sins, alleviation of existential sorrow, the blessing of worthy progeny, and her eternal divine presence within the devotee's heart.
Pallavi: O Shankari, beloved of the crescent-moon-adorned Lord Shiva! O Mother Ambika, may Your divine grace and compassion blossom within me.
Anupallavi: I eternally worship and meditate upon Your twin lotus feet, which are revered and bowed down to by the supreme trinity—Lord Vishnu (the lotus-eyed one), Lord Brahma (the creator), and Lord Shiva (Shankara).
Charanam 1: O eternal supreme empress Rajarajeshwari, lotus-eyed daughter of the mountain King, Parvati! O Supreme Goddess, please protect and guide these devotees who engage wholeheartedly and without deceit in the worship of Your holy feet.
Charanam 2: O Prime Cause and destroyer of impurities and sins, protect me; O Reliever of the afflictions and agonies of worldly rebirth, protect me! I, being foolish and misguided, surrender all the sins and karmic web I have committed forever at Your tender lotus feet.
Charanam 3: O Destroyer of desire, primal cause of creation, fulfiller of wishes, and auspicious Kalyani; O Katyayani, bestow upon devotees the boon of desired progeny! As Goddess Lakshmi (Bhoomakal) and Goddess Saraswati (Vani) attend to You waving white yak-tail whisks, please dwell eternally in my heart, O Sovereign Lady presiding over the sacred Ramabhadralaya shrine.
